Delivery Days with Phil

Phil is the driving force behind organizing the Aldi deliveries. If you haven’t witnessed the action on delivery days, it is something to see! Phil oversees the unloading of the trucks, inventories all items to make sure the deliveries match orders placed and directs the stocking of the refrigerator and freezer. He works with the great Tuesday team to make sure all is in order and the shelves are stocked and ready for members. Phil also secured the donation of the pallet jack that is used in the stockroom.

Phil and his wife Cheryl started volunteering in January after hearing of the need for volunteers at the Food Club at St. Simon. He feels it is important to give back to his community and pay it forward. Phil truly enjoys his involvement with the Lakeshore Food Club.

Phil was born and raised in Monroe, Michigan. He moved to Ludington in 2002 following a job transfer with Consumers Energy to the Ludington pump storage facility. He retired in 2017. Phil and Cheryl have two married children and two grandchildren.
